Ruckus Scooter: Two week review

Two weeks ago, I purchased a Honda Ruckus scooter for getting around town and I wanted to report on how that is going. My one word response: GREAT. I love this little scooter -- even though its only 49cc, it still goes 35 mph -- even with my fat ass on it. Every time I stop at a gas station someone has to come talk to me about the scooter -- apparently the scooter is new and unique enough to attract attention -- not like I mind. :-)

But the most amazing thing about this scooter is that it gets 86 miles to the gallon. My first fill up was only 80 mpg, but I did manage to spill a little gas while filling it. My weekly gas bill comes to little more than the price of 1 gallon of unleaded gas. Just a hair under 3 bucks -- at this rate I won't care if the price of gas goes to $5. $5 for a weeks worth of transportation is still a good deal.

The only drawback? You smile a lot, because the scooter is fun to ride -- this is not good near sunset when lots of bugs are out. :-)
